Tweak the options in the right-hand panel and watch the snippet update. Hit Launch preview to load the widget live with your current settings. To require a question before typing, add at least one question under First visit, then turn on Require an initial question. The preview hides the message box until you select a question, and the generated snippet includes requireInitialQuestion: true.
This playground previews Widget 4.0.63 and generates HTML snippets pinned to that version. For the generated React snippet, install @opencx/widget-react@4.0.63 separately. Widget 5.0.0 also supports required starters; Companion keeps a disabled composer beneath them. To test v5 layout, streaming and page permissions, use the Companion setup with a published v5 build.
The preview uses a shared demo workspace so you can try everything without signing up. Replace the token in the generated snippet with your own (dashboard → Channels → Chat Widget) before shipping.
